Asset maintenance automation FAQ

What equipment can I register? Lifts, generators/DG sets, fire safety equipment, STP plants, water tanks, or any custom equipment your society maintains.

Do I need a Procurement Marketplace contract first? Yes every maintenance schedule must reference an active vendor contract from Procurement Marketplace. This is by design, not a bug.

What cadences are supported? Monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, or a custom day interval.

Who can mark a maintenance task done? An admin, or the internal staff member assigned as the schedule's owner (via the Staff Attendance module).

Can a task be skipped instead of completed? Yes, with a required reason of at least 10 characters. Skipping still generates the next occurrence on schedule.

What happens when a vendor contract ends? Every schedule tied to that contract pauses automatically, with an audit entry. An open task at that moment stays as-is until an admin acts on it.

Can I see a full history for one asset? Yes each asset's detail page shows every past maintenance task, completed or skipped, with notes and reasons a service history you can show at an AGM.

Does this work offline? Yes staff completing or skipping a task with no connectivity (e.g. a basement plant room) get it queued and synced automatically, the same pattern used by the Gate and Staff Attendance apps.

Is there a cost-tracking field per visit? No cost stays entirely in the linked contract's payment schedule in Procurement Marketplace, so it's never duplicated.

What tier is this on? Asset & Maintenance Schedule Automation is an Operations add-on at ₹499/month. See full pricing.
