Do vendors need GSTIN to register? No — GSTIN is optional; Plinth verifies vendors to basic tier without it.

Can one vendor submit two quotes? No — one quote per vendor per request, enforced server-side.

Can admins extend the quote deadline? Not after publish (cancel and re-create, or use the 7-day extension rule when zero quotes received — configurable per society).

What if we pick a non-lowest vendor? You must enter a reason; it is published to members and stored in the audit log.

Do vendors see our budget? Never — budget fields are admin-only and excluded from all vendor APIs.

Is online payment to vendors supported? Milestone invoices are tracked in-app; payment gateway integration is planned — admins mark paid after bank transfer today.

Can residents vote on vendor selection? Yes — admin can open a society-wide poll or restrict to committee admins only.

Where are contracts stored? Private storage; signed PDF generated when Gotenberg is configured.
