Resident: claim your flat and cast your vote
To vote on Plinth you sign in with the email or phone your society admin registered, claim your flat, and cast your ballot during the open voting window. Votes are final once confirmed.
Step 1: Sign in
- Open Sign in.
- Enter the email or phone your admin listed for your flat.
- Complete OTP verification.
Step 2: Claim your flat
- If Plinth finds an exact match, you'll see your flat (e.g. "Block B, 402").
- Tap This is my flat.
- If auto-approve is off, you'll see Request sent — wait for admin approval (you'll be notified).
- If no match: contact your admin to update the roster.
Step 3: Open a poll
- From the home feed, tap an Open poll.
- Read the title, description, and time remaining.
Step 4: Upload credentials (if required)
If the poll requires documents and yours aren't approved yet:
- Tap Upload documents.
- Upload each required file (camera or file picker).
- Wait for admin approval — voting unlocks automatically.
Step 5: Cast your vote
- Make your selection (or choose Abstain).
- Tap Cast your vote.
- Review the confirmation dialog — votes cannot be changed.
- Tap Confirm.
You'll see a receipt with timestamp. For secret polls, your choice is not shown to others.
Multiple flats
If you own more than one flat, a flat switcher appears. Vote separately for each flat.
Troubleshooting
"Email not recognised" — your sign-in email must match the roster. Ask your admin to fix it. "Already voted" — you (or someone on your flat's account) already voted for that flat in this poll. "Poll closed" — the voting window has ended. Can't vote — pending claim — wait for admin approval of your flat claim.
