FAQ: society community marketplace
What is community marketplace on Plinth? A society-only classifieds board where verified residents post listings to sell, buy, rent, or offer/request services — with admin moderation on reports.
Who can post? Active society members from Marketplace (/marketplace).
What listing types exist? sell, buy, rent out, rent wanted, service offered, and service wanted.
What fields does a listing have? Title, description, optional price and category.
What statuses can a listing have? active, sold, expired, removed, and pending_review (after a report).
How do residents report a listing? Tap Report on the listing — report_listing moves it to
pending_review for admin review.
How do admins moderate? Open Admin → Marketplace (/admin/marketplace), review reports and
the queue, then approve (back to active) or remove via moderate_listing.
Can I edit my listing? Yes — owners edit title, description, price, and category from My listings.
How do I close a deal? Mark sold when done, or remove to take the ad down early.
What tier is marketplace on? Community — see pricing.
How is this different from the Notice Board? Notices are official committee communications. Marketplace is peer-to-peer classifieds among residents.
Is there an audit trail? Yes — post, edit, report, and moderation actions are written to the society audit log.
