FAQ: household help for housing societies

What is household help on Plinth? A register where residents add maids, cooks, drivers, trades, and other helpers who visit their flat, then mark daily inside, out, or didn't come.

Who registers helpers? Each resident registers and manages helpers they created. Admins can view and manage the full society roster.

What helper kinds are supported? maid, cook, driver, nanny, milkman, laundry, gardener, plumber, electrician, carpenter, pest control, and other.

How is schedule set? Inferred when you add a helper: daily for maids, cooks, milkmen, etc.; occasional (on-call) for plumber, electrician, carpenter, pest control, and other trades. You can edit schedule when updating a helper.

What attendance states can I mark? Inside (in), Out (out), and Didn't come (absent) via mark_household_helper_attendance.

Can I change a mark the same day? Yes — marking again updates today's row. The action is audit-logged.

Is there one mark per helper per day? Yes — one attendance record per helper per calendar day.

What optional fields exist? Phone, flat label, and notes per helper.

Where is the feature? Household help at /household-help (members; admins see society-wide roster).

Can residents see other flats' helpers? Residents see helpers they registered. Society admins see all active helpers in the society.

How is this different from staff attendance? Staff attendance is for society employees (guards, housekeeping) at /admin/staff-attendance. Household help is for residents' domestic staff and trades.

What tier is household help on? Community — see pricing.

Is every mark audited? Yes — each mark writes to the append-only audit log.
