What is a society idea forum?
A society idea forum is a structured suggestion box where verified residents post improvement ideas — better lighting, new amenities, rule changes — and upvote others' ideas. Ideas that gain enough support are escalated to the committee backlog for review and possible conversion into formal polls.
On Plinth, ideas that reach 10 upvotes automatically move to Backlog status for admin attention.
Why not just use WhatsApp?
WhatsApp threads bury suggestions, there's no voting mechanism, and the committee can't track which ideas have broad support vs one vocal member.
How it works in Plinth
Residents post ideas with a title and description. Others upvote. Admins update status: Open → Backlog → Planned → Done.
