Society notice board: FAQ

A digital notice board lets a managing committee publish official announcements with read receipts, audience targeting, and optional acknowledgement a verifiable upgrade over WhatsApp groups and the lobby pinboard.

Questions committees ask

What kinds of notices can we post? General, maintenance, financial, event, security, AGM, governance, and urgent each category is colour-coded in the resident feed.

Can we target one tower or only owners? Yes. Filter by role (owner, committee, tenant, occupant), tower/block, or specific flats.

Can we schedule a notice for later? Yes set a publish date/time; the notice moves from scheduled to published automatically.

What is a flash notice? A blocking in-app popup residents must read or acknowledge before using the app use sparingly for safety or urgent compliance items.

Can committee publish without full admin access? Committee members and users with notices.publish use /committee/notices. Societies can require admin approval before a committee draft goes live.

Can we attach PDFs or link society documents? Yes upload attachments on a saved draft, or link a published Document vault file.

Can we see who has read a notice? Yes aggregate stats plus a CSV roster with name, flat, read time, and acknowledgement time.

What is "required acknowledgement"? Residents must tap I acknowledge this notice. In-app and push reminders nudge pending members on the Plinth app; email/SMS/WhatsApp broadcast is not included in notice board today.

Is there a record if a decision is later disputed? Yes every publish, edit, approval, and archive writes to the append-only audit log.

Does it notify residents? On publish, eligible residents get an in-app notification and a push notification if they use the Plinth native app. Email and SMS are not part of notice board (reduces channel sprawl and keeps one official record).

How much does it cost? Included from the Community tier alongside helpdesk, billing, and gate features.
