Society notice board: FAQ

A digital notice board lets a managing committee publish official announcements to all residents with read receipts, categories, pinning and optional acknowledgement — a verifiable upgrade over WhatsApp groups and the lobby pinboard.

Questions committees ask

What kinds of notices can we post? General, maintenance, financial, event, security, AGM, governance and urgent — each colour-coded so residents can scan quickly.

Can we see who has read a notice? Yes. Admins get live stats: how many residents have read and acknowledged a notice.

What is "required acknowledgement"? For important notices (e.g. a new gate SOP or a special levy), you can require each resident to tap "Acknowledge". You then see exactly who has and hasn't.

Is there a record if a decision is later disputed? Yes — every publish, edit and acknowledgement is written to an append-only audit log.

Can we pin or flag urgent notices? Yes — pin keeps a notice at the top; "urgent" shows a high-visibility banner.

Does it notify residents? Residents are notified in-app on publish; WhatsApp/SMS/email broadcasts are on the roadmap.

How much does it cost? Free to start. Read receipts, scheduling and acknowledgement are in paid tiers.

Ready? Publish your first notice or read the setup guide.
