Admin: publish a notice & track read receipts

In Plinth, you publish an official notice from the admin Notices page; residents are notified instantly, and you can watch read and acknowledgement stats in real time.

Before you start

  • You must be a society admin.
  • Your residents should have claimed their flats (so they receive the notice).

Steps

  1. Open Admin → Notices (/admin/notices).
  2. Tap New notice.
  3. Enter a Title and the Notice body.
  4. Pick a Category (maintenance, financial, security, AGM, urgent, …).
  5. Optional toggles: Pin to top, Mark urgent, Require acknowledgement.
  6. Tap Save draft to keep it private, or Publish to send it to all residents.
  7. On a published notice, tap Receipts to see how many residents have read and acknowledged it.

Tips

  • Use Require acknowledgement for notices residents must formally confirm (e.g. a levy).
  • Use Urgent sparingly — it shows a high-visibility banner.
  • Archive old notices to keep the feed clean; they remain in the audit record.

Troubleshooting

A resident says they didn't get it — confirm they've claimed their flat and are an active member. I can't see "New notice" — you need the admin role; ask your society's primary admin.
