When to use a society events calendar
Use the events calendar for community gatherings where you need a clear date and optional headcount — not for formal governance meetings (use Meetings for those).
Festivals and cultural evenings
Diwali, Holi, Onam, or New Year — publish date, venue (clubhouse lawn), and capacity so catering and seating match RSVPs.
Post-AGM socials
After the formal AGM, many societies host tea or dinner. A separate event keeps the social headcount distinct from quorum.
Workshops and demos
Fire-safety drill, composting workshop, or EV-charging orientation — residents mark Maybe when they are unsure.
Sports and fitness days
Cricket match, yoga morning, or kids' race — set capacity if the ground or hall has limits.
Resident-led gatherings
Committee-approved treks, book clubs, or hobby meets — publish once; skip the "count me in" reply chains.
