GBE Compliance & Audit Trail for Society Elections
GBE compliance and audit trail
Plinth logs every election event append-only: announcement, each nomination, scrutiny decision, objection, ballot cast (flat + timestamp not choice when secret), tie flags at the seat boundary, and formal result declaration. Election Officers get scoped access; it revokes automatically when the election closes.
What auditors can reconstruct
| Event | Record |
|---|---|
| Nomination window | Open/close timestamps + each submission |
| Scrutiny | Approve/reject with reason per candidate |
| Objections | Formal workflow with resolution |
| Ballots | One vote per flat; aggregate counts only when secret |
| Ties | Flagged at last seat before declaration |
| Declaration | Logged officer action + downloadable report |
This maps to Maharashtra Model Bye-laws requirements for nomination windows, returning officer scrutiny, and secret ballot though societies must verify their specific jurisdiction.
Officer conflicts assigning an Election Officer who is also a candidate triggers a warning; best practice is a neutral returning officer.
Reminders nomination and voting deadline reminders are sent in-app and by email so members cannot claim they were not informed.
