What is a society resident vault?
A resident vault is private document storage inside your society app for your records — rent agreements, ID copies, HRA receipts, insurance policies, and flat-specific move-in paperwork — separate from the committee's official Document Vault (bye-laws, AGM minutes, published financials).
On Plinth, open My vault (/me/vault). You get two scopes:
- Personal — only you can see these files. They stay with your account even if you sell your flat.
- Flat documents — shared with everyone linked to your flat, or with society admins when you choose committee visibility. Flat files are removed when the flat is unclaimed (ownership transfer).
Uploads use private storage and 120-second signed download URLs (25 MB per file; PDF, images,
Office documents). This is not WhatsApp forwarding and not the society library at Documents
(/documents).
Part of Plinth's Governance tier — Starter societies get limited quotas; Community plans get full storage. See pricing.
