Resident vault troubleshooting

I cannot upload — "not authorized"

  • Claim your flat first (/onboarding/claim). Upload requires an active claim; personal viewing works after unclaim.
  • Confirm you are in the correct society (society switcher).

Upload failed — quota exceeded

Your society tier limits active file count and total storage:

TierPersonalFlat (per flat)
Starter10 files / 50 MB5 files / 25 MB
Community+50 files / 250 MB50 files / 250 MB

Fix: Archive or permanently delete old files, or ask the committee about upgrading to Community on pricing.

File too large

Maximum 25 MB per file. Compress PDFs or split scans before upload.

Signed URLs last 120 seconds. Tap Open again for a fresh link.

Flat documents disappeared after I sold

Expected behaviour: flat vault purges on unclaim. Personal vault files are unchanged. Retrieve personal copies you saved before the handover.

Committee cannot find my tenant agreement

  • Confirm you uploaded under Flat documents with Flat + committee visibility.
  • Flat + committee files are accessible to society admins through the vault permission model; ask the secretary to request the file through official channels if needed.
  • Official society-wide records still belong in admin Document Vault.

Permanent delete by mistake

Deletion is irreversible. There is no admin recovery for personal vault files.
